South Grove Primary School

It all started as a normal school week…..

Three weeks before Christmas, Mrs Hunter-Leitch had been busy gathering the Christmas decorations in the library and had put up that Christmas tree ready for the festivities.

As always, at the end of the school day, the staff tip-toed out and the Site Officer turned out the lights and locked the school for the night.

It all began on Friday 1st December when staff returned to school that morning…….to everyone’s surprise and amazement something had happened and Edwin had made a rather strange but spectacular return to South Grove trapped inside a balloon. How on earth had he got himself in there??

He’d left a note pleading for someone to pop the balloon and free him and over the weekend, it appeared his wish had come true! Was it one of the tigers in the library with their sharp claws?

After some careful searching and by following the clues…

…he was eventually seen – or at least part of him! Once again he’d got himself stuck – this time right in the middle of the world!!

Let’s hope he frees himself tonight!

Watch this space to see what he gets up to next.

Tuesday 5th December

He decided to get into the Christmas spirit and join in the nativity as a donkey.

He did have a little break to have

his lunch and get out of his costume for a while…

Wednesday 6th December

Edwin decided to hide in some loo rolls

Thursday 7th

Then on Thursday 7th he got stuck in a rather nasty place ( I think he’ll have needed the loo roll after that!)

Friday 8th

Having escaped, by Friday 8th he’d gotten ill (we’re not surprised, although we didn’t expect it to be Covid) and had to have a lie down over the weekend

Monday 11th

By today, Monday 11th, he was all better and raring to go on his dinosaur adventure!

Tuesday 12th December

He stole Ms Spain’s umbrella and then got stuck in the Christmas tree and never made it out to gate duty!

Wednesday 13th

On Wednesday 13th December Edwin decide to remind everyone that he always has an eye on you so you better be good…

Thursday 14th

Look what happened on Thursday 14th after he’d eaten some corn – euggh! No one needs to see that and I hope he cleaned the cooker top well!!

Friday 15th

On Friday 15th he was doing something dastardly with snowman noses…

Monday 18th

Then today, Monday 18th, well, he only had himself to blame when, just as he was trying to steal Year 4’s party food, he got caught by a rather large spider who also fancied a bit of a snack!

Tuesday 19th December
