UKS2 Netball || 8th February 2024
On a very wet Thursday in February, eight Year 6 children, a Feel Good Ambassador and one member of Year 5 attended the Waltham Forest Netball Stingers competition at the Score Centre.
Our Feel Good Ambasssador, Quinn, in Year 6 wrote this fantastic recount of the morning’s events:
The day began with a netball warm up of practicing passing and shooting the ball. Miss White exchanges a few tips and we completed some stretches to keep warm. This was followed by a quick team talk and then the excitement began. Miss White, Ms Montgomery, Jake (who was on a work placement) and myself waited on the side and supported.
Sadly, we lost our first game as the rules were slightly different to those we had been practicing. However, after that we dominated and we won all of our games. Victory! All our hard work has paid off! We made it to the finals!
