2F’s Living & Growing Assembly

On Friday the hall was filled with all things creepy and crawly as we were treated to a wonderful assembly from 2F all about nature and especially about mini beasts.  They opened with a a song, ‘If I were a Minibeast’ which they expertly signed using their Makaton knowledge.

The children then explained how they had been growing beans and keeping a record of their growth.  They then shared their knowledge of mini beast facts – I think we all learnt something new – and showed the lovely water colours that they had painted after they had learnt about the artist Maria Sibylla Merian and her fantastic drawings and paintings of insects and nature.

They shared the acrostic poems they had written and then Sasha confidently played a song called ‘Butterfly’ on his tin whistle .  The class then rounded off their assembly with a wonderful living and growing fashion show.  Well done 2F for your fabulous assembly!
