Year 1 Retell the Story of Stick Man

Wow! Incredible writing Year 1. After learning the ‘Stick Man’ story by Julia Donaldson using a story Map and Talk for Writing strategies, Year 1 retold the story of Stick Man all by themselves. It is incredible how much progress they have made this half term already. What good foundations they made in Early Years and how resilient they are at attempting tricky things. We also furthered our Design and Technology skills by creating a moving picture of Stick Man using split pins to create movement. We are looking forward to creating a background and adding a mechanism to make them move like puppets.
