Year 3 Retell Greek Legends

This week in year 3 we have begun a new unit of writing. We learnt about the legendary Battle of Troy and the Trojan Horse. We learnt about Odysseus and his cunning plan to defeat the Trojans and take back Helena 'the face that launched a thousand ships!' We were given a series of pictures to sequence with our partner and to help our oracy we used stem sentences to retell the famous story. Some of us then took on the challenge to try and retell the story to the class without using the words umm or errr. It was pretty tricky! We are looking forward to learning more about this and seeing what amazing writing we can create.
