Year 4 Visit the Epping Forest Visitor Centre
"Year 4 pupils had a fantastic time at the Epping Forest Visitor Centre in Chingford. First we began the session with lunch with a view of the stunning autumnal woodlands. Then we ventured into the woodlands and took part in a mindfulness session where we listened to the sounds of the beautiful nature all around us. Then we bought our science topic on animal classification to life! Equipped with bug-hunting kit including magnifying glasses, pooters, and classification identification sheets we explored the woodland floor and discovered a variety of insects and minibeasts. The hands-on experience helped us learn how to group animals based on whether they were insects, arachnids, crustaceans, myriapods, annelids or gastropods."
