Year 5 & 6 Girls Football

On the 16th of July, 11 pupils from years 5 & 6 took part in a 6-a-side girls football tournament at Leyton Jubliee Park. The girls played amazingly and won their first two games! They won 2-1 against Thorpe Hall; then 4-0 against Jenny Hammond. Their third game was against Newport, who took the win with 1- 0; however, this was a very close game. The last match was against George Thomlinson, who won 2-0. Despite this, the girls tried their very best and have come away excited for when they take part in another football competition.

A big well done to all those that took part, representing South Grove.
