Year 5 Channel their Inner Archaeologists!

Year 5 children have been channelling their inner archaeologists this week as they explored the fascinating world of Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs. Using their knowledge of this ancient writing system, they created their own messages and artwork, carefully drawing hieroglyphic symbols to tell stories and spell out their names.

The classroom was buzzing with creativity and excitement as everyone experimented with the beautiful shapes and meanings of the symbols. The children loved discovering how pictures could be used to represent words and sounds-just as the Egyptians did thousands of years ago! Their colourful hieroglyphic art pieces are now proudly on display, showcasing both their imagination and their growing understanding of ancient history.
