Year Six Are Toy Makers

Year 6 have begun a new computing unit this term called We Are Toy Makers. As part of this project, pupils will design and create their own programmable toys using the Micro:bit. In their first lesson, the children explored the different components of the Micro:bit, learning how each part contributes to its functionality. They then applied this knowledge by writing their own code, successfully turning the device into a step counter.
