Year Six are Bee Friendly!
As part of Walk to School Week this year, Year 6 has been learning about what makes a street bee-friendly. A bee-friendly street is a healthy street with fewer cars and more flowers, making it safer for children to walk, scoot and cycle to school while also creating important habitats for bees and other pollinators.
To share what we know, Year 6 designed colourful bee-friendly posters to encourage others to think about how they travel to school and how they can help pollinators. We also created our own pledges, promising to take actions such as walking or scooting more often, planting flowers for bees, and helping to keep our environment clean and healthy.
