Year Three get Volcanic!

This week, we finished our unit on volcanoes by completing a synoptic task. For this assignment, we drew Mount Etna and included surrounding details such as farms, tourists, scientists, and geologists.

After finishing our drawings, we labelled the different activities taking place. For example, we showed geologists collecting lava samples and scientists traveling over the volcano to monitor signs of a potential eruption, such as temperature changes or the crater growing in size. We also wrote about how tourists visit volcanoes for activities like hiking and skiing. We have thoroughly enjoyed our lessons about volcanoes!
