Year Three get stuck in to their Science Topic

We started a new topic in Science this week: forces. But first, we needed to learn about surfaces (this will make more sense later, we promise). We tested different materials using a whiteboard marker and rated how well the marker glided across each piece of material and how well it absorbed the ink. Many things surprised us — such as foil having no absorption at all, and how little the toilet paper absorbed, with the ink going straight through onto the table (sorry, cleaners)!

A great start back has been had by all.
