Ethos, Rules, and Aims

The ethos, policies and rules of the club are the same as those of the whole school.

The aim of Breakfast Club is to give a positive start to the school day for the children.  A nutritional breakfast will be provided, and the opportunity for children to eat and discuss as a group.  Educational activities, such as reading, storytelling, homework, board games, craft activities, ICT or sports will also be provided.

Children can arrive at the club between 7.30am and 8.30am but cannot arrive after 8.15am and eat breakfast.

The aim of After School Club is to give your children new opportunities to grow. We also want to help parents with their childcare plans after the school day. South Grove Wrap Around Crew offer activities to keep children active, and to introduce them to healthy habits. Educational activities, such as reading, storytelling, homework, board games, craft activities, ICT or sports will also be provided.

• All children must be pre-registered.
• If your child has asthma, a spare inhaler must be given to the play leader.
• Parents must not drive their cars into the school, or park on the yellow lines when bringing children to the club.
• All children must be collected from the after school club by an adult (over 16)
• In the morning all children must be brought into the room, given to the care of an adult and signed in.

Notice period: Two weeks’ notice is required to be given to the school office if you do not wish your child to attend any more via email to wrapcrew@southgrove.waltham.sch.uk. 

Fees are payable in advance. If fees are not paid in advance, we will give you five sessions notice and your child will have to leave if the fees are not then paid. Please note that two weeks non-attendance without a valid reason will mean that your child is automatically taken off roll.

You must pay for all sessions booked not just those attended.

 As the school is a registered childcare provider you may be eligible to claim the costs via working tax credit.
