Miss Fowler, Miss McFarlane, Mrs Monaghan, Ms Anderson, Ms Khan, and Ms Tali are delighted to be teaching your children this year. We look forward to developing your child’s love of learning in a range of challenging, fun and engaging activities this year.

Year 2 News & Events

• Friday 9 May 2025 2F’s Living & Growing Assembly On Friday the hall was filled with all things creepy and crawly as we were treated to a wonderful assembly from 2F all about nature and especially about mini beasts. They opened with a a song, ‘If I were a Minibeast’ which they expertly signed using their Makaton knowledge.
• Thursday 8 May 2025 Year 2 - Explore Bugs and Art In Year 2 this week in Art we have been looking at the artist - Maria Sibylla Merian. We also designed a ladybird using different mediums. In D & T we designed our own 'Bug Hotels".
• Tuesday 11 March 2025 Year 2 In Year Two, we thoroughly enjoyed our Design and Technology lessons. We designed a ‘Wind Powered Car’ it was great fun to make!
• Thursday 6 February 2025 Year 2 visited 'The Monument' Year 2 had the fantastic opportunity and visited 'The Monument'. We climbed the 311 steps to reach to the stop and see the view of London. We got to see how in 1666 the fire covered London and to see where people had to go to collect water from the river Thames to try and put the fire out!
• Friday 1 November 2024 2DM: What have we been up to this week? In Year Two this week in PE we have been balancing and holding shapes. In Science we have been investigating what would be the best suitable material for Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole to use as a bandage to help injured soldiers.
